TFP General Overview

Welcome! On behalf of the Advanced Learning Center we would like to welcome you to the Technology Fellowship Program. We are extremely excited about working with you all this next year. Your participation will better enable our campus to integrate effective learning and research strategies into the classroom and daily lives of faculty and students.

Vision: Our overall vision of the Technology Fellowship Program will be to create a community of practice where members excel as recognized leaders in technology integration for improved instruction in their fields.

Goal: Fellows will create one significant project during this program. The project will focus on a way to enhance instruction for a specific class. The end product will be showcased at the end of the program year.

Activities: The program will consist of a hybrid of instructional strategies: face-to-face, hands on labs, and online learning, as well a discussion, collaboration and individual opportunities to brainstorm and investigate practical applications for the use of technology in your teaching.
The UoM Technology Fellows Program was one of four Communities of Practice nationally receiving consulting support and the use of iCohere, a virtual collaboration tool, from the EDUCAUSE National Learning Infrastructure Initiative (NLII) during the 2004 - 2005 academic year.
