ISATC "Speech and Vision Processing" Task Force

Purpose

The Task Force on Speech and Vision Processing focuses on research, application and dissemination of computational intelligence technologies in the field to advance and promote speech and vision processing. This Task Force will use a combination of organized special sessions in conferences and email discussion and, possibly, some reports based on data collected in special sessions/conferences organized by this Task Force or even special journal issues, as vehicles to advance and promote computational intelligence research in speech and vision processing.

Specific Goals

One of the primary goals for this task force is to bring together relevant researchers and increase collaboration in this area. To that end, we propose the following:

a)       Organize a conference with IEEE CIS in 2009

b)       Promote collaboration between IJCNN and the IEEE Machine Learning for Signal Processing (MLSP) group by, possibly, participating in MLSP 2009 conference
