Teaching

I am teaching PubH 7140/8140 Epidemiology of Chronic Diseases in the Fall semester 2012.

I have taught: I have taught Epidemiology I and Communith Health Assessment in other institutions.

Research

I have a broad interest in chronic disease epidemiology, particularly in cancer and cardiovascular diseases. My current research focus is disparities in health and health care in chronic disease management among U.S. elderly (Medicare and Medicaid) population.

My methodological expertise includes strategies to make effective and valid causal inference, methods in social epidemiology, and GIS applications in public health.

Statistical computing

I have written a very unique SPSS tutorial . My GA found it very helpful for him to learn SPSS quickly.

I am more proficient in SAS, Stata, and R. If you have any questions in using these software, please feel free to ask me.
